On 19 April, Friday, at 12.00 o'clock, the roll call of honour, Qaddish and the placing of wreaths in front of the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes marked the beginning of commemoration of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. That day volunteers also distributed daffodils made of paper - a symbol of memory of the Uprising.
Another campaign involving the free process of cat and dog micro-chipping, sterilisation, and castration, has already begun. The residents may bring their animals for the procedures to 29 veterinary points. The campaign will continue till 13 December.
A competition for the leasing of premises along the Vistula has already commenced. Cultural meetings, sporting events, and concerts will be organised by eight coffee clubs. In the summer season, noise monitoring and additional Municipal Guard patrols will be organised on the boulevards.
