Symbols of the City
The city’s icons have been part of its traditions for ages and continue to represent its history and culture.
The Coat of Arms, the Flag, logotypes and graphic signs, with the most well – known architectonic objects which are associated with the city, are formal identifying elements. They are usually symbols of the city which have been forming for years, even for ages.
The Warsaw Mermaid is the city’s most well known symbol, appearing on coat of arms, flags and bugles. It also is used as part of the city’s promotional campaign “Fall in Love with Warsaw”.
