Appointment of Plenipotentiary for Women, and the Women Council, support and safety schemes, increased funding for in vitro procedures, vaccinations against HPV, and access to healthcare without the conscience clause - these are the main features of the “Warsaw for Women” programme.

This was one of the first programmes I talked about during the campaign,” Mayor Trzaskowski reminded. “I considered it to be one of the most important programmes, as we must not forget about women’s rights if we want to build Warsaw for everyone. “A lot of the Programme's elements are currently in place, and now we want to continue our efforts with the support of experts from the Women Council, and the Plenipotentiary for Women, Ms Katarzyna Wilkołaska-Żuromska, who will take office shortly,”  announced the Mayor.

The members of the Women Council appointed by the Mayor include Renata Durda, Prof. Małgorzata Fuszara, Prof. Teresa Jackowska, Krystyna Kacpura, Anna Karaszewska, dr Elżbieta Korolczuk, Olga Kozierowska, Krystyna Lewkowicz, Urszula Nowakowska, Alicja Pacewicz, dr Ewa Rumińska-Zimny, Monika Sajkowska, and Prof. Magdalena Środa.
“The issue of equal treatment is being disregarded by the State, so it is all the more important for local governments to be open to such initiatives,” asserted Prof. Małgorzata Fuszara, Member of the Women Council.
