The new Warsaw-Ursynów Independent Public Healthcare Centre is located in a municipal estate at 14 Kłobucka Street. Commercial premises on the ground floor of a residential building were adapted for the purposes of the new facility.

Recently there have been numerous healthcare-related events – we opened the outpatient clinic in Bemowo, we held the topping out ceremony on the Southern Hospital, we laid the cornerstone for the outpatient clinic and one-day hospital in Białołęka, and today we are launching a new outpatient clinic in Ursynów,” said Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, Mayor of Warsaw, at the opening of the clinic.

In December 2017 the Warsaw City Council awarded an investment subsidy for the Warsaw-Ursynów Independent Public Healthcare Centre amounting to PLN 1,2 million for adapting the premises for a medical clinic and for the purchase of essential equipment.

The cost of construction works was PLN 787,000, and the essential equipment cost PLN 413,000. It included ECG, CTG and ultrasonography machines, a blood sampling chair, a gynaecological chair, examination couches, a surgical light, an examination station for young children, an operating table, furniture, filing cabinets, computer sets and printers.

Thanks to capital expenditures made by the City of Warsaw, the new Warsaw-Ursynów Independent Public Healthcare Centre with an area of approx. 170 sq. m. features:
- 5 doctor’s offices (primary healthcare for adults and children, gynaecology, ultrasonography room);
- sample collection facility;
- registration point with a waiting room;
- sanitary facilities for patients;
- welfare and office facilities for the personnel.

Investments in healthcare in the Ursynów District

Between 2007 and 2017 the City of Warsaw spent PLN 32 million out of its budget on investment subsidies for the Warsaw-Ursynów Independent Public Healthcare Centre designated for upgrading the existing outpatient clinics (at 5 Na Uboczu Street, 4 Romera Street and 12 Kajakowa Street) and creating a one-day hospital.

The Ursynów Treatment Centre at 12 Kajakowa Street was launched in November 2010. The hospital performs one-day procedures in the field of general surgery, endoscopic diagnostics of the gastrointestinal tract, urology, gynaecology, orthopaedics and ophthalmology. The project included the construction of a three-storey modular building with an area of 1700 sq. m and the purchase of basic equipment for the hospital. The building houses a one-day surgery ward, an operating theatre consisting of two operating rooms and an endoscopy room.

In the budget of the City of Warsaw for 2018, PLN 7 million was planned for the extension of the outpatient clinic at 12 Kajakowa Street. The project is aimed at creating convenient conditions for the provision of medical services in the field of primary healthcare for children and adults, night nurse's and physician's assistance, outpatient specialist treatment (gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology) and diagnostic tests (X-ray, ultrasonography, Doppler sonography, laboratory tests).

In 2019 the construction and the process of installing equipment in the Southern Hospital located at the intersection of Pileckiego and Indiry Gandhi streets will be completed. The City of Warsaw allocated PLN 400 million for the project. The funds will be spent on building a modern multiprofile city hospital with eight wards and 309 beds, an operating theatre, emergency department and a landing pad for rescue helicopters. Schedule of the construction: 12.12.2016 – the start of earthworks; 9.06.2017 – cornerstone laying ceremony; 27.04.2018 – topping-out ceremony.
