“Prince Bear” is the title of the legend to be displayed this season on the water screen in the Multimedia Fountain Park. This beautiful and moving love story will be intertwined with the spectacular dance of the fountains to the rhythm of the music, accompanied by colourful lasers. Special displays can be viewed on 1, 2 and 3 May at 9 p.m.

“It will be for the eighth time that Varsovians and tourists will be able to view the shows in Podzamcze,” said Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, Mayor of Warsaw. “Every year a different story is presented referring to important anniversaries or the history of Warsaw and its legends.

In the previous years the shows featured the Basilisk, the Gold Duck and the sirens. This year’s show entitled “Prince Bear” is an adaptation of the Warsaw legend about a Masovian prince who fell in love with a beautiful townswoman and overcame his shyness to confess his feelings to her.

The programme of the Multimedia Fountain Park will also make a reference to the hundredth anniversary of Poland’s regaining of independence. A special film was prepared for this occasion to be presented on the water screen as part of the show.
The shows in the Multimedia Fountain Park have already become an important element of summer weekend evenings in Warsaw. The shows are presented on the water screen every year, attracting hosts of Varsovians and tourists from Poland and abroad. In the previous season the displays attracted around a million viewers.
