As every year, on each Sunday from May to September, the Royal Łazienki will resonate with the music of Fryderyk Chopin. The 59th season of Chopin Concerts will be launched on 13 May at noon at the Royal Łazienki, featuring renown virtuosos and young talents.

The new season will be opened with an inauguration concert by Ingolf Wunder. This extremely talented pianist began his musical journey at the age of four, when he started learning to play the violin. It was not until he reached 14 that he chose the piano as his instrument and, several months later, won his first competition. In 2008 he began working with Adam Harasiewicz, the winner of the 1st prize at the 5th Chopin Competition in Warsaw, and in 2019 he himself became the laureate of the 2nd prize at the 16th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. In May, in the scenery of Chopin's monument, the pianist will perform the Nocturnes from opus 9, Polonaise-Fantaisie as well as Andante spianato et grande polonaise brillante in E-flat major. For those who will not be able to arrive at the venue to see Ingolf Wunder’s concert, the organisers have arranged an online broadcast.

On the same day at 4 p.m. there will be a performance by Radosław Sobczak, winner of numerous national and international contests. The pianist is a recognised live performer in Poland and abroad; for instance, in 2002 he played seven recitals in China at the invitation of the Shanghai Concert Hall. He is also the first Polish pianist to have performed in Muscat (Oman) at the invitation of the Polish Embassy in Riyadh – his concert was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in 2010.

Open-air concerts
The Chopin Concerts at the Royal Łazienki have become a permanent landmark on Warsaw's cultural map, combining the beauty of Chopin’s music with the idyllic atmosphere of the rose garden. As every year, Varsovians and tourists will be able to enjoy the sounds of the timeless melodies created by the Polish composer in masterly interpretations and in a natural setting. This unforgettable atmosphere of the Warsaw concerts stays in the memory and hearts of their audiences for a long time, and many of the listeners return to the Royal Łazienki for Sunday recitals.
Admission for all concerts is free of charge.
